Letter to/from EU

2023 წლის 8 მაისს საქართველოს უმაღლესი საგანმანათლებლო დაწესე-ბულებების ლექტორთა ხელმოწერით გაიგზავნა ღია წერილი ევროპარ-ლამენტის პრეზიდენტის ქალბატონ რობერტა მეცოლას, ევროპული საბჭოს პრეზიდენტის ბატონ შარლ მიშელის და ევროკომისიის პრეზიდენტს ქალბატონ ურსულა ფონ დერ ლაიენის სახელზე. ღია წერილში პროფესორ-მასწავლებელები ევროკავშირს თხოვდნენ საქართველოსთვის ევროკავშირის წევრობის კანდიდატის სტატუსის მინიჭებას. წერილის ერთ-ერთი ინიციატორი და ბსუ-დან ხელმომწერია ჟან მონეს კათედრის ხელმძღვანელი, პროფესორი მალხაზ ნაკაშიძე. 2023 წლის 10 ივლისს, გაგზავნილი წერილის პასუხად, პროფესორ-მასწავლებლებმა ევროკო-მისიისგან მიიღეს წერილი, რომელსაც აქვე გთავაზობთ.

On May 8, 2023, an open Letter  was sent to the President of the European Parliament, Madam Roberta Metsola, the President of the European Council, Mr. Charles Michel, and the President of the European Commission, Madam Ursula von der Leyen, signed by the lecturers of the higher educational institutions of Georgia (Open letter can be seen here: https://tinyurl.com/zhmtdd7c) In the letter, professors asked the European Union to grant Georgia the status of a candidate for EU membership. One of the initiators and signatories of the letter is Malkhaz Nakashidze, professor of Batumi Shota Rustaveli State University, Jean Monnet Chair. On July 10, 2023, in response to the letter sent, the professors received a response letter from the European Commission.
