Course description:
The purpose of the course is to teach students the foundations principles of European Union: democracy and rule of law, theoretical approach of Rule of law and democracy in European Union, the Role of National Courts and Legal Integration in the European Union, main principles of transparency, Legal Certainty and the Principle of Proportionality, introduce students to the Rule of Law in the Jurisprudence of the European Court of Human Rights and European Court of Justice, Effectiveness of the European institutions, participation in democracy and mechanisms for the implementation of rule of law in European Union and the member states.
